The two people immediately called Police after seeing two youths attempting to steal a bike parked on Church Street at about 8 p.m.

Two 13-year-old Warwick schoolboys who had just removed a motor bike were arrested, Police said.

The youths have been released into the custody of their parents pending further enquiries.

"We would encourage the public to report any suspicious circumstances to Police to assist in preventing crime,'' a Police spokesman said.
