Burglars steal $2,000

Cash totalling $2,000 was stolen from a house at Roberts Avenue, in Devonshire between 10.30 p.m. last Wednesday and 6 a.m. on Saturday.

A Sony radio/cassette player and other household items were stolen from a residence at Tribe Road No. 1, Warwick on July 29.

An intruder, who broke into a home on Pearman's Hill in Warwick, was not as fortunate.

Occupants woke to find the intruder searching through their belongings. The intruder escaped empty-handed through a window.

A man living in Hamilton Parish prevented a would-be-thief from breaking into his neighbour's home on July 31.

The man, who was relaxing in his rear garden at about 10 p.m., saw the culprit climb onto his neighbour's roof and attempt to force open a window.

He shouted out to the culprit, who ran off.

A 32-year-old Sandys Parish man was arrested on July 29 for breaking into a doctor's office in the same parish.
