Rights Commission and Development Minister Terry Lister.

The company, acting on advice from lawyers at Conyers, Dill and Pearman, has filed a writ in Supreme Court against the parties for overstepping their respective boundaries.

General manager Jeremy Elmas said the Human Rights Commission ruled in favour of former assistant general manager Debbie DeSilva, who raised a case on gender bias after her resignation in October last year.

Mr. Elmas said Cablevision's lawyers said the appropriate response would be to sue the Human Rights Commission for "acting outside its authority''.

Mr. Elmas said he could not elaborate because he was following his lawyers' advice.

CD&P refused to comment and Human Rights Commission acting executive officer David Wilson said he had yet to receive papers about the lawsuit.

Ms DeSilva resigned last October because of disputes with management.
