Caller accused

call yesterday admitted she had placed a call to her accuser, but said she never spoke to the woman, much less "harassed'' her.

Jerry-Lee Swan of Sandymount Lane was given a six-month conditional discharge by Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis.

The court heard that on June 6, Andrea Romaine, whose boyfriend is the father of Swan's child, received a telephone call at work.

According to Romaine, she recognised the voice as that of Swan. During the brief call, Swan told Romaine to "stop spreading rumours'' about her child and called her a "bitch'' before hanging up.

Swan said she had called to talk to Romaine, but she "never got a chance to talk to her''.
