come to fruition soon. Talks are proceeding between Atlanta-based Camberley Hotel Company, the Tourism Department and local groups. Camberley plan to take over the former Club Med site in St. George's. Tourism Director Gary Phillips last night said: "Things are going very well. I had a telephone meeting with Ian Lloyd-Jones (the president of Camberley) last week and the due diligence process is going very well.'' During the due diligence process, both sides have examined each other and the hotel company has gone a step further .

Besides financial examination, Camberley has also held talks with a number of people in the community including transportation partners, the municipality of St. George's and the BIU.
