The Fire Service was called out to help the woman who became trapped in the car after she drove over an embankment near Shelly Bay in Hamilton Parish on Tuesday evening.

Fire spokesman Lt. Jon Thompson said the incident took place around 6.45 p.m.

when the woman's white Mazda went down the embankment and overturned.

Two trucks carrying 11 firefighters responded to the call and freed the woman.

Damage to the front end of the car was estimated at $3,000.
