CedarBridge learn community spirit

Island a community day in a bid to foster positive relations between the school and the public.

KBB executive director Lennox Boodram said the October 29 event would provide staff and students with the chance to unite and give something back to Bermuda.

"Our young people need to embrace a giving and helpful spirit as well as a unifying one amongst our own small community on the hill,'' Mr. Boodram said.

The community day will start with a brief opening ceremony at 12.30 p.m.

Scheduled activities include a trash pick up; placement of bluebird boxes in the Arboretum; visiting the elderly, preschools, primary schools and hospitals; painting bus shelters; cleaning buses; working at Orange Valley, Hope Homes and WindReach; washing Police cars; and cleaning windshields in Hamilton.

"We are very excited about all that will take place on this day,'' Mr.

Boodram said.

A variety of sponsors have donated gloves, bags and other materials needed on the day to the students.
