from him by Police over two years ago, Chief Justice the Hon. Mr. Justice Ward ruled yesterday.
Burchall, 31, pleaded guilty to conspiring to import cocaine and possessing cocaine with intent to supply on November 6, 1991. He was sentenced to eight years imprisonment in May, 1992.
Crown counsel Ms Sharon Kenny applied in Supreme Court for Burchall to forfeit the money seized.
But the Crown failed to prove all $11,000 were proceeds from drugs.
The other $5,500 will be returned to Burchall through his lawyer Mr. Richard Hector.
