He even enjoys sitting on people's shoulders and likes nothing better than to tuck into his favourite meal of brown bread and milk.

Condor is a two-week-old chick that was blown off course by Hurricane Felix, landing in the garden of Mr. David Kerr who discovered him in the nick of time -- penned in on three corners by three cats.

"I came home from work and heard this noise coming from the garden. Sitting there, in a corner, being closely scrutinised by my three cats was this chicken,'' said Mr. David Kerr, of Ferry Road. "It was no more than two weeks old, but I had no idea where he came from or who he belongs to because there are no chickens around where I live.'' Christened Condor, the chicken now likes nothing better than to be picked up and put on a person's shoulder, watch television or sleep in its cardboard box with a fluffy toy lamb, supplied by Mr. Kerr's six-year-old son, Andy.

"He loves people and is very friendly. He snuggles up and tucks himself under your neck,'' added Mr. Kerr. "We'll end up keeping him, he's almost one of the family now.''
