its Municipal Register is current.

Corporation secretary Laurence Jacobs admitted yesterday that people should have been notified in September of a five-day time period when they could contact him with revisions for registration in the register.

He said: "I apologise to the public for my oversight in not advertising the annual revisions notice in September, 1996.

"Please be assured that the oversight was not malicious and was not intended to prejudice the intent of the Municipalities Act.'' Mr. Jacobs said the period would run between January 13 and 17 and an advertisement would be posted in The Royal Gazette to notify the public of these revision dates and times.

In addition, the public can register and make revisions to the register at any time during the year, he added.
