in Magistrates' Court yesterday.
After spending close to three hours waiting for his case to be read, 50-year-old Ed Bottone of Paget thanked Magistrate Edward King for being ticketed for speeding.
"I am happy to get this ticket today,'' he said. "It has been several years since I have been caught for a moving violation.
"It serves to remind me that rushing to my next appointment just isn't worth endangering my life and the lives of others.'' Bottone was fined $260 for speeding at 58 kph on the Lane in Paget on April 13.
A clearly amused Mr. King told Bottone his comments could land him "on the front page of the paper''.
