A Police patrol tried to stop the driver of the Honda Scoopy at 11 p.m. on North Shore Road after he was seen committing a traffic offence.

But on seeing the Police car the driver turned off near Shelly Bay and tried to outrun the Police on the Railway Trail. He eventually abandoned the cycle and ran off to escape Police.
