Unit of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital following a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday night.

Police report the accident -- a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a car -- took place just before 8 p.m. at the junction of Malabar and Cochrane Roads in Sandys Parish.

The rider of the cycle suffered a fractured left femur, a fractured shoulder, and an amputated left little finger. The driver of the car was uninjured but a female passenger was cut on her arms and legs by glass from the car's shattered windscreen.

Both vehicles were damaged in the accident.
