Cycle thief victim: `Police won't help'
bike back.
And Mr. Ticoe Williams says he has given officers information about the whereabouts of his Yamaha V80 motorcycle but they have failed to take action.
Mr. Williams even took the fuel tank to the Police Station after finding it in a nearby yard, but says the Police just laughed at him.
The 21-year-old from Middle Town Drive, Pembroke, bought the bike just over two months ago. He spent $700-$800 customising the machine over the three weeks before it was stolen.
It was taken while he was visiting a friend in Harlem Heights Road, Hamilton Parish.
He said: "My friends have seen people riding about on it and a few weeks ago I found the gas tank in a yard.'' Mr. Williams says the gas tank is distinctive because it is specially painted and there are only two of its kind on the Island.
He said: "I reported it to the Police, they said they would send someone up there but I heard nothing. So I reported more times and still they did not tell me anything. So I took the gas tank to them and they just laughed.'' Since then he has made an official complaint to a senior Police officer about the incident.
Police Community Relations Officer Sgt. Roseanda Jones said they will not comment on the matter if an official complaint has been filed.
But Mr. Williams said: "I just want my bike back.'' Mr. Ticoe Williams.
