DAB gets Morgan's Harbour plan
from the developers of the old US Naval Annex.
Morgan's Harbour Investment Ltd. filed its "proposed comprehensive re-development plan for a resort facility'' with the board on July 3.
The plan includes a golf course in excess of 7,000 yards, a clubhouse, a 200-bed cottage colony with spa and conference centre, a village centre, a 400-berth marina, 318 homes and elderly housing.
Morgan's Harbour's agent for the development of the 250-acre site is Entasis Architecture.
The board has asked the Estates division of the Ministry of Works and Engineering, Marine and Ports Services and the Ministry of the Environment for the benefits of their observations.
It has also provided the Tourism Department and the Hydrology section of the Works Ministry with the opportunity to comment on the proposed development if they wish.
The application is not expected to be heard by the Board for at least a month.
Renaissance Resorts International Ltd. is the international developer overseeing the $250 million project and Morgan's Harbour is the local company that won the bid to do the work in February.
