12 months yesterday after pleading guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol.
Everard Todd, 66, of Naval Tanks Hill was part of a road traffic accident involving three vehicles on North Shore Road near Shelly Bay at 4.30 p.m. on Sunday December 17.
Todd sustained injuries which required hospital treatment, but shortly after being released he told Police that it was his fault and he had consumed "a few wines'' that afternoon.
He gave Police samples of breath, and the lowest reading was 118 ml of alcohol in 100 ml of blood.
The legal limit is 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood.
When asked by Magistrate Will Francis if he had anything to say, Todd replied, "I'm very sorry for the inconvenience I have caused.''
