Alan Stuart Hall, a Canadian, pleaded guilty on Friday before Senior Magistrate Will Francis.

Crown counsel Veronica Gordon said Police were alerted by tourists at 3 a.m.

on July 30 that a man was riding west on Front Street in an erratic manner.

Hall, 25, of 15 West Side Road, Sandys Parish, is a senior portfolio banker at the Bank of Bermuda.

Police caught up with him on Pitts Bay Road as he walked away from his motorcycle.

The cycle was lying on its side and his helmet was on the ground near-by.

Ms Gordon said Hall was unsteady on his feet and his breath smelled strongly of alcohol.

Hall was searched and 3.1 grams of cannabis in a manila envelope was found in a leather pouch.

Ms Gordon said Hall told Police: "What's that?'' Hall called the events of July 30 "a regrettable evening''.

Mr. Francis fined Hall $350 for having the cannabis and $450 for riding while impaired.
