more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.

Jerome Robinson, 36, of Curving Avenue, pleaded guilty to driving while impaired and also admitted to not having a valid driver's licence on May 4.

Prosecutor Wilbert McLean told Senior Magistrate Will Francis that Police watched Robinson as he rode north on Court Street and stopped near the junction with Elliot Street.

Police approached him and noted he appeared to be drunk.

Sgt. McLean said Police asked Robinson if he needed medical attention and if he had been drinking.

Robinson answered no to both questions, but submitted to a breath sample at Hamilton Police Station.

He was found to have at least 258 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

When Mr. Francis asked Robinson if he had anything to say, he replied: "No.

They said it all right there.'' Mr. Francis fined Robinson $500 and banned him from driving all motor vehicles for one year.

Robinson was also fined $150 for not having a valid driver's licence.
