The more than 300 eligible voters in Bermuda's original capital will vote for their choice among the 12 candidates for office at the historic Town Hall in King's Square.

The more than 300 eligible voters in Bermuda's original capital will vote for their choice among the 12 candidates for office at the historic Town Hall in King's Square.

Up for the top job of Mayor is retired town retailer Lois Perinchief, who served as Deputy Mayor to outgoing Corporation head man Henry Hayward, and former businessman and contractor Gladstone Trott, seeking his first break into town affairs.

And four candidates are contesting three alderman's positions on the Corporation -- Terrence Roberts, Delaey Robinson Clarence Smith and Noela Haycock, a Government Senator.

A total of seven hopefuls are in the running for the five common councillor seats.

They are Kenneth Bascome, Mariea Caisey, William Davis, Louis DeSilva, E.

Michael Jones, David Raine and St. George's North PLP MP Leon (Jimmy) Williams.

Another common councillor candidate, Christopher West, was eliminated from the race on a voter registration technicality.

All registered voters can cast their ballots at the Town Hall between 11 a.m.

and 8 p.m.
