According to a Government spokesperson, more than 30,000 forms have been sent to heads of households. "Persons who are heads of households must include the names of all persons who are part of their household on January 15, 1998,'' said the spokesperson. "This includes students or persons overseas for business or medical treatment.'' Under the law, a person is eligible to register as a voter in a parliamentary election, if he or she is a resident of Bermuda by birth or by grant and is 18 years old or will be 18 by June 16, 1999. Also eligible to register are a small number of Commonwealth citizens who were on the Bermuda voters' list on May 1, 1976.
