Bermuda-based reinsurer Endurance Specialty Holdngs today reported net income of $111.2 million and $2.09 per diluted common share for the fourth quarter of 2010, a decline of 28 percent from the $154.8 million and $2.56 per diluted common share recorded in the same period in 2009.For the year, Endurance's net income was $364.7 million and $6.38 per share compared to $536.1 million and $8.69 per share for 2009.In common with other reinsuers, Endurance said the decline in net income was largely due to natural catastrophes during the year.For more, see tomorrow's Royal Gazette
