BOATERS URGED TO BEWARE BARGES RAO SHI Boaters urged to beware barges Harbour Radio have issued two advisories for boaters to beware of barges at two locations in the east end.

Three barges have been off loaded from the cargo ship Green Island and moored, unlit, at the former US Navy buoys in St. George's Harbour.

Each barge is approximately 120 feet by 60 feet, yellow, and are not lighted.

The barges were off loaded to lighten the ship to allow her to safely transit through to Dockyard for repairs.

And repairs to a high voltage cable running across Ferry reach from Stonecrusher corner on St. David's Island to Ferry Point on St. George's will require the positioning of a barge in the area for three days.

All marine craft are advised to proceed with caution near the buoys in St.

George's and in Ferry Reach.
