Everything set for Palm Sunday walk

Trust, will take place at the United States Naval Air Station, and base officials want the public to be aware of several safety regulations.

The following traffic rules are in effect wherever you are on the base: The speed limit is 20 miles per hour.

All traffic (both directions) must stop for buses that are loading or unloading passengers.

No overtaking of vehicles at any time.

All traffic regulations and signs must be obeyed.

If you are riding a motorbike, you must obey these additional rules: Feet must be covered -- open-toed shoes are unacceptable.

Full face shields or goggles must be worn -- regular eyeglasses un shades are not sufficient.

Commanding Officer Captain Timothy Bryan anticipates that this will be a very enjoyable event. The walk will begin at 2 p.m., and the base's Number One gate opens at 1 p.m.

The walk will cover approximately six miles, taking walkers through the eastern half of the base. One interesting stop will be the newly completed Cooper's Island nature preserve.
