Richard Douglas, 31, of Hamilton Parish, had earlier denied the charge which dates back to 1993.
But shortly before his trial was scheduled to begin in the Supreme Court yesterday morning, lawyer Michael Scott indicated that his client wanted to change his plea. The matter was adjourned until tomorrow morning for sentencing.
