"Watching a jungle grow''is an activity all children will enjoy.

All you need is: 1 sweet potato or avocado seed 4 toothpicks 1 glass of water 1. Place 4 toothpicks in a circle on the head of the potato/avocado.

2. Place the potato or avocado in a glass of water with the toothpicks resting on the rim of the glass.

3. Refill water as necessary and watch your jungle plant grow (be patient as it might take a few weeks for leaves to start to appear).

What your child will learn: In observing the daily changes in the jungle, your child will be developing an important scientific skill. Your child will develop an appreciation for the wonders of nature. Your child will feel proud that he or she has helped "create'' a plant.
