Fined for harassing customers
he was risking being sent to jail.
Prosecutor Insp. Peter Duffy told Magistrates' Court that last Monday evening, Police found Alvin (Alabama) Anderson outside Somers Supermart in St.
George's, shouting obscenities at traffic and passers-by.
He had earlier been banned from the store, said Insp. Duffy.
A manager told Police that Anderson had been in and out of the store harassing customers, and had sworn at him.
Anderson, 51, of Clarence Street, St. George's, admitted using offensive behaviour and entering premises from which he had been banned.
He told senior magistrate the Wor. Will Francis he was sorry. "I didn't give these people no trouble,'' he said.
"I just went inside the door, I didn't go right inside.'' As for the swearing, he said he "gave an `f' for an `f' ''.
Mr. Francis fined him $300.
