Five appear in Supreme Court
session on charges ranging from alleged drugs possession to alleged breaking and entering.
Leon Fough, 22, of Coral Hill Lane, Warwick, was charged with unlawful wounding and unlawfully wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm. Both charges stem from an alleged incident in June this year.
Fough, represented by Richard Hector who was holding for Mark Pettingill, pleaded not guilty to both charges.
Puisne Judge Richard Ground released Fough on bail to reappear before the court on November 1.
In another case 35-year-old Larry Burgess, of Rockville Lane, Pembroke, pleaded not guilty to possession of a controlled drug, cocaine, which was intended for supply.
Burgess, who was represented by Mr. Hector holding for Mr. Pettingill, also pleaded not guilty to handling a controlled drug, cocaine, which was intended for supply.
He was released on bail to reappear before the court on November 1.
Ernell Zacchaeus Campbell, 35, of Montego Bay, Jamaica, appeared before the court on three charges.
He pleaded not guilty to importation of a controlled drug, cocaine, possession of a controlled drug, cocaine, which was intended for supply and supplying a controlled drug, cocaine.
Campbell, represented by Kim Wilson who was holding for Chris Lavigne, was remanded into custody to reappear before the court on November 1.
Ellsworth Eugene Wilson, also represented by Ms Wilson, appeared charged with possession of a controlled drug, diamorphine, which was intended for supply and handling a controlled drug, diamorphine, which was intended for supply.
Wilson, of Mount Hill, Pembroke, pleaded not guilty to both charges and was released on bail to reappear before the court on November 1.
Thirty-one-year-old Joseph M. Lima, of Cashew City, St. David's, appeared charged with breaking and entering and assault with intent to rob.
Lima, represented by Mr. Hector who was holding for Mr. Pettingill, pleaded not guilty to both charges and was released on bail to reappear before the court on November 1.
