Four deny January attack on detective
Magistrates' Court in July.
Kimani Fubler, 18, of Shelton Road, Pembroke, Ian Simmons, 19, of Factory Lane, Pembroke, Gilroy Brangman, 20, of North Cote Avenue, Pembroke, and Malik Outerbridge, 21, of Loyal Hill Road, Devonshire, denied causing grievous bodily harm to Det. Con. John Michael Fryer on January 3.
Fubler and Simmons were also charged with assaulting Det. Con. Fryer while he was operating in the course of his duties. They denied the charge while Fubler pleaded not guilty to throwing a bottle on Court Street and possessing an offensive weapon, namely a beer bottle.
The Wor. Cheryl Ann Mapp set aside July 5, 7 and 8 for the trial. Brangman and Outerbridge are represented by lawyer Mr. Mark Pettingill while Fubler is represented by Mr. Michael Scott.
Simmons has not yet retained counsel.
