FT boost for tourism, international business
one-two advertising punch in next week's Financial Times.
A joint advertising supplement with the tag line "Business in Bermuda -- The Better Balance'' will appear in the magazine ending a series of separate advertisements by the two groups.
The programme has been developed by a joint steering committee with individuals from both areas and is the first step in what will be a integrated joint marketing programme for next year, subject to budgetary approvals by the Finance Ministry.
Tourism Minister David Dodwell said: "The closer relationship that has developed between tourism and international business through this team and other initiatives has resulted in this new positioning for Bermuda. We can jointly present Bermuda as the ultimate destination for both business and pleasure in appropriate media.'' Finance Minister Grant Gibbons added: "This initiative works hard to ultimately benefit Bermuda as a whole and this ad in particular will be a good test of how responsive our targets in the financial markets will be to this new message.''
