High school pupil goes missing

She was last seen on Wednesday, December 13, at the Berkeley Institute and she failed to return to the Brangman Home where she was expected later that day.

Rebecca is described as being light brown-skinned with blondish hair, heavyset, and was last seen wearing a Berkeley Institute uniform.

Rebecca is known to frequent the St. Monica's Road and Sandys Parish areas and anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Police Community and Juvenile Services at 295-0011.

Missing: Rebecca Grant Lovell BIKE RIDER ATTACKED CRM Bike rider attacked Two would-be muggers followed their intended victim on a bike before attacking him with a mop handle and then fleeing empty-handed.

The pair followed the rider along St. John's Hill, Pembroke on Sunday at around 4 a.m.

The 25-year-old victim from Pembroke stopped and the passenger on the bike behind approached him, grabbed the victim's keys and threw them into a nearby garden.

His accomplice then struck the victim with the mop handle and demanded money.

The pair rode off when he refused to give it.

CELL PHONE STOLEN CRM Cell phone stolen Cash, a cellular phone and food were stolen from a North Shore Road home in Devonshire over the weekend. The thief is thought to have got in through a window.

Thieves made off with 17 cases of frozen food from the Green Lantern restaurant in Serpentine Road, Pembroke. The theft was discovered at 1.20 a.m.

on Monday.

CARS DAMAGED IN FIRE FIR Cars damaged in fire Police and fire crews raced to the parking area of Barracks close, St.

George's last week after receiving a report of a car on fire.

The call was received just after midnight last Wednesday and Police arrived to find a blue Daihatsu Charade engulfed in flames.

A car parked alongside the Charade was damaged as a result of the heat.

Fire crews managed to douse the blaze but the Charade was completely destroyed.

The second car, a Nissan coupe received damage to its offside back fender and rear bumper.

The female owner of the Charade said she parked her car around 11.50 p.m. and was not aware of any problems with the vehicle.

IMPAIRED DRIVER FINED CTS Impaired driver fined A Warwick man was fined and disqualified from driving after causing an accident while driving under the influence of alcohol.

Ross William Myddleton, 26, of Evelyn Apartments, South Shore Road pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated at 4.35 a.m. on November 26.

Myddleton was driving west on South Shore in Paget when he swerved into the path of an oncoming vehicle.

No-one was injured in the accident, but when Police arrived they asked Myddleton if he had drunk any alcohol, and he replied: "I had a few earlier.'' He was arrested and taken to Hamilton Police Station where he was alco-analysed. His lowest reading was 225 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrams.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner fined him $1,000 and banned him from driving all vehicles for one year.
