Hog Bay clean-up
Saturday.
The organisers of the group, called the Hog Bay Park Committee, say they want to reclaim the area "for greater public enjoyment''.
The Bermuda Girl Guide Association and the Boy Scouts hope to use the 38 acres of arable fields and natural landscape as their official camping ground.
The committee, headed up by UBP candidates for Sandys South, Mr. Ted Gauntlett and Mr. Ralph Richardson, plan to clean three principal areas of litter with the help of volunteers from the community.
Participating in the group's first joint effort are Sandys Rotary, the Bermuda Girl Guide Association and the Boy Scouts. The Seventh-day Adventist Pathfinders will be helping the following Sunday morning. Keep Bermuda Beautiful is providing trash bags.
The clean-up begins at 9 a.m. and ends at noon.
