Police understand the mishap occurred when the truck pulled out onto the road from a private driveway and startled the horse.

The horse then bolted, dragging the buggy and driver behind. The driver suffered cuts to his elbows, shins and head while the horse sustained lacerations to all four legs.

The male complainant told Police he locked his Tablerock Lane home around 5 a.m. and went to sleep.

He said he awoke some two hours later to see a man run past the foot of his bed and out the back door.

The complainant said a black leather waist pouch containing both a gold and silver full-length finger rings, two black star sapphire stones, an undisclosed quantity of cash and other personal items were stolen.
