Hotel worker on theft charge

Carol Thomas, 36, was not required to plead to five counts that, with intent to defraud the Harmony Club, she made omissions from the accounts of tour operators which dealt with the hotel during the period of January, 1991 to January, 1992.

Thomas, represented by Mr. Perry Trott, was bailed in the sum of $1,000 plus a like surety.

She was ordered to reappear on October 30, when a Supreme Court trial date will be set down.

SWORE AT POLICE CTS Swore at police A 17-year-old Pembroke youth admitted in Magistrates' Court he swore at Police officers while they were writing a traffic ticket for his friend.

Nakia Alexander Lekki was the pillion passenger on a motorcycle which was stopped for speeding at 4.16 a.m. on September 13 along Palmetto Road.

The North Terrace resident became abusive with the attending officers, and despite warnings, continued to yell obscenities at them.

BAN EXTENDED CTS Ban extended Speeding at 70kph cost a 22-year-old disqualified driver $900 in fines when he admitted the offences in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Scott Z. Robinson, who was due to come back on the road next July, was disqualified from driving for a further two years, until July, 1995.

Prosecutor Insp. Peter Duffy said Robinson went through radar on Harbour Road, Warwick at about 2 p.m. on October 8. He was clocked at 70 kph.

Insp. Duffy said Robinson admitted to the officers who stopped him that he was off the road.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis fined him $350 for riding while disqualified and $550 for speeding.

BOYS STILL MISSING POL Boys still missing The search continued yesterday for 15-year-olds Kenneth Boyles and Delton Burchall who have gone missing from the Youth Development Centre, Devonshire.

Boyles has not been seen for two weeks, while Burchall has been missing since Tuesday.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of either of the boys should ask them to return, or get in touch with the development centre, or the Police Community and Juvenile Services Department (tel 299-4515).

NOT ME, OFFICER! CTS Not me, officer! A Pembroke man who swore at a Police officer was given a conditional discharge in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Lionel Frates, 45, admitted to swearing at an officer who was driving down Court Street in a Police car on the morning of September 7. Frates said it was not him who swore but he was pleading guilty anyway.
