just six months on the job.

Housing Corporation chairman Mr. Ward Young said in a statement yesterday that Mr. Wall "resigned for private, personal reasons and will be leaving the corporation on June 30, 1992.'' Mr. Wall, an American, said he planned to remain in Bermuda but would not elaborate on the reasons for his departure.

Mr. Young said he regretted Mr. Wall's decision but understood his reasoning, and thanked him for his work during his short time with the corporation.

Mr. Young said the corporation "is determined to seek a Bermudian for this very prestigious position'' and advertisements should appear in the next few days.

Mr. Wall came to Bermuda in 1986 to run the Small Business Development Corporation. He moved to the Housing Corporation after its previous general manager, Mr. John Gardner, was caught skinny dipping, appeared in court and subsequently lost his job.
