Mr. Nelson Hunt appeared before the Liquor Licensing Board in Magistrates' Court to seek a liquor licence for Pier Six, at the lower level of the Number Six Shed on Front Street.

The Board heard that the club should have their occupancy certificate within a week.

Mr. Hunt's lawyer Mr. Paul King said his client wanted the club to be opened by the first week of December.

Ch. Insp. Larry Smith told the board he visited the site and things were "coming along quite well''.

The board -- which will visit the site next Friday before making its decision about the liquor licence -- told Mr. King they "wanted a representative from the architectural firm present during the visit''.
