A spokesperson said a 64-year-old Devonshire man was driving a Nissan on North Shore Road Devonshire, near Barker's Hill, on Wednesday evening when he apparently crossed into oncoming westbound traffic and hit a Subaru driven by a 63-year-old Paget man.

The Devonshire man received facial injuries and injuries to his knee and chest and was detained in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The Subaru driver suffered facial lacerations. Both vehicles had extensive front end damage.
