Intruder flees after stealing money
the early hours of Sunday morning in Pembroke.
A couple, living at Grosvenor Court, woke to find a man standing in their bedroom, Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said.
The woman screamed and the intruder fled. But not before taking about $170 in cash.
On Sunday evening, a man living at Brimstone Hill in Devonshire reported that someone entered his home through a small, insecure side window and took about $220 from his wallet.
A driver paid the penalty for leaving his car unattended for 10 minutes on Friday afternoon. He returned to find $1,500 had been taken from the vehicle in Crisson Avenue, Pembroke.
Thieves netted $600 cash in three break-ins which occurred at guest accommodations and a private residence during the early hours of Thursday.
A room at the Hamilton Princess was entered through an insecure sliding door as the occupant slept and about $180 in cash was stolen.
A guest cottage at Astwood Cove in Warwick was also entered under similar circumstances and about $300 was stolen.
