for scores of Bermuda Regiment recruits on Sunday.

The annual two-week boot camp will start with the rookies forming up at the South Shore gate to Warwick Camp. At 8 a.m., sharp.

"They will then be told to get cracking,'' said Regiment Adjutant Capt. Larry Mussenden.

That means a hectic session of drill, weapon handling, camouflage and concealment.

On Tuesday, Progressive Labour Party Leader Jennifer Smith and two Shadow Ministers will visit the recruits and watch them training.

The next day, Governor Lord Waddington will take a lookaround and on Friday it will be Premier David Saul's turn.

His visit will coincide with all-day live firing on the range.

Saturday will see the Intersection Road Race, while there will be a church service on Sunday.

A highlight of the second week will be a falling plate competition between recruits at South Shore beaches on Friday, January 24.
