yesterday because their counsel, Archie Warner, is ill.

It is understood that Mr. Warner was admitted to the hospital over the weekend.

It is believed that he suffered a mild heart attack but The Royal Gazette was unable to obtain any details about his condition.

Mr. Warner is thought to be in the intensive care unit of the King Edward VII Memorial hospital.

Mr. Warner's convalescence will have some effect on the Supreme Court calendar because he is the counsel for 11 cases still awaiting resolution.

And when the list for October is finalised sometime today, it is expected that another three to four will be added.

That does not include his numerous lower court appearances especially those involving defendants from Operation Cleansweep.

Meanwhile lawyer Victoria Pearman asked that the Morain and Francois matter be mentioned on October 2 as this would give her an opportunity to take instructions.

Both men who are Jamaican nationals, are charged with conspiring to import cannabis between May 31 and June 19.

They have also denied importing the drug between June 16 and 19, and possessing and handling it with intent to supply.

Crown counsel Phillip Storr appeared for the prosecution.

MUSIC TAKES OVER DOCKYARD ENT Music takes over Dockyard The Royal Naval Dockyard is set to close for more than a day in October to allow a music production full reign over the waterfront area.

The announcement concerning the Jazzscape festival came yesterday from the West End Development Corporation.

Only Jazzscape ticket and special pass holders will be admitted from 6 p.m. on October 10 until midnight on October 11.

A Wedco spokesman said: "The Jazzscape Festival works best when it is held in a large arena. The plan is to build the sound stage out on the water below the Dockyard basin, making the heart of Dockyard the heart of the concert during Friday night, Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening.'' October 12 will be the free admission second day of the Dockyard Cultural Festival with gospel music, ethnic food stalls and a crafts exhibition.

Food tents will be set up on the lawns north of the Clocktower Centre while art and crafts displays will be in the Victualling Yard on the other side of the basin.

Shops, restaurants and other attractions at the site will remain open throughout this period.
