The duty officer at Harbour Radio said: "A lot of these yachts would normally be on the islands enjoying themselves but because of the track Lenny is taking, east and then northeast after 48 hours, it's very unpredictable.
"We've had a lot of yachts leave Bermuda, come back, leave again and come back once more,'' he said.
"A lot of relatives are telephoning us, asking about the position of their loved ones, and that's causing extra work around here.'' Three boats that were reported to Harbour Radio as overdue have now been located safely -- two in the Virgin Islands and one in Puerto Rico.
