Thirty-year-old Steven Kenneth James Dill was fined $500 and ordered to pay the fine immediately or spend four months in prison.
The Barbados Advocate last week reported Police saw Dill around 2.20 p.m. on March 11 in the Paradise Village district of Christchurch on the southern shore of the island.
Dill was in the passenger's seat of a car talking to a man whom Police knew.
When the two separated, Police stopped the car and searched Dill. They found four twists of cannabis in his underwear.
Dill, a bartender, was reportedly staying at the Yellow Bird Hotel, and told Police he was in Barbados to watch the Test Cricket match between England and the West Indies.
