Man arrested for stealing A 41-year-old Southampton man was arrested Sunday evening under suspicion of stealing beach gear from a parked livery cycle.
Around 4 p.m a couple parked their cycle in the Henry VIII's car park leaving their towels and bathing suits in the rear basket.
When they returned a short time later they discovered their things were missing and notified Police.
A nearby resident who witnessed the theft was able to identify the culprit. He was subsequently arrested in connection with the incident.
Police are currently investigating the theft on Sunday of a wallet from Horseshoe Bay.
The incident took place around 5 p.m when a Canadian couple realised they had left a wallet on some rocks.
On returning to the location, the victim believes he saw a woman put the wallet in her bag. He approached the suspect and her companion who denied any involvement and proceeded to get into a car and drive away.
The victim reported the situation to the Police who later stopped the car and arrested the two female occupants. Enquiries are continuing.
