importing and possessing cannabis with an estimated value of $26,000.

Kimo Simons, 22, of King's Gate Lane, Hamilton Parish, pleaded not guilty on Friday to the charge which concerns 518 grams of the drug.

Simons was freed on $3,000 bail with a like surety. A trial date of October 5 was set. Crown counsel Charmaine Smith said if the drug was sold in half gram amounts, it would be worth $26,000.
