Antoine Brian Fox, of Kent Street, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to driving while impaired.

Crown counsel Graveney Bannister told the court that Police were called to a single vehicle accident on January 16 at 3.30 a.m. on Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton Parish.

Police saw a white Nissan saloon on the side of the road with Fox standing next to it.

Fox approached the officers and said he had been drinking. When asked about the accident Fox told Police: "I fell asleep.'' A breathalyser test recorded he had 109 milligramms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligramms of alcohol. Magistrate Archibald Warner also took Fox off the road for 12 months.
