Robert Bean, who pleaded guilty to the charges, was also given two suspended prison terms.

Prosecutor Sgt. Ken James said that as a result of information received, Police attended a house on Aerial View Close at about 8.45 p.m. last December 23.

Upon arriving, they saw Bean and two other men. After searching them and the house, they found two pipes, a razor blade and a brown paper twist, all later found to have traces of cocaine on them.

Sgt. James said Bean admitted to Police he had been smoking cocaine with the items seized.

The court heard Bean had several past convictions for possession of drugs.

Magistrate the Wor. John Judge fined him $1,000 and handed down a six-month prison term, suspended for two years, for allowing his premises to be used for the misuse of drugs.

And he gave him a three-month prison sentence, also suspended for two years, for having equipment fit and intended for illegal drug use.
