with facial injuries after an alleged attack in an elevator.

Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said the man was in an elevator at the Emporium Building, around 2.30 a.m. Saturday, when the incident took place.

A second man entered the elevator and for no apparent reason punched the man in the face, causing him to fall to the ground.

P.c. Venning said the Devonshire man was also kicked about the face and body.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he received several stitched to close the wounds to his face.

Police inquiries are continuing.
