The Crown accepted the plea from Paul Ronald Williams, 25, meaning he will not have to stand trial on charges of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent to disable and possession of an offensive weapon.

The charges stemmed from the robbery of Dawn O'Donohue in Pembroke. Williams, who is in custody, is to appear again on Thursday for sentencing, when the facts are to be read. He is represented by Mr. Timothy Marshall. His bail was extended.

Also at the arraignments before Puisne Judge the Hon. Mr. Justice Ward yesterday: Gerald C. Hall, 26, of St. George's Parish, pleaded guilty to committing robbery with violence on November 21. Although Hall pleaded guilty, his lawyer Miss Sonia Grant said the facts in the case are disputed. Hall is to appear again on Wednesday, when Mr. Justice Ward is to hear evidence on the facts.

Terri L. Washington, 23, of Rochester, New York, pleaded guilty to importing cocaine and possession of cocaine intended for supply. The offences occurred on December 30, court was told. Washington, who is represented by Mr. Archie Warner, is to appear in court for sentencing on Thursday, when the facts are to be read. She remains in custody.

Dwayne Gino Phipps, 31, of Pembroke, pleaded guilty to 14 currency offences.

The offences, which occurred in 1991 and 1992, involved receiving tax exemptions for foreign currency charges for trips abroad, then not surrendering the currency when the trips were not taken.

Phipps, who is represented by Mr. Perry Trott, is to appear in court on Thursday for sentencing. His bail was extended.

Sentencing for Christopher Winslow Darrell, 28, of Southampton, was postponed until May 3, when a psychiatric and a social inquiry report are expected to be ready. Darrell has been convicted of committing rape last July 21. Represented by Mr. Philip Perinchief, he was remanded in custody.

A 25-year-old Somerset man was ordered to stand trial on June 22 on charges of wounding, assault, fighting in a public place, and possession of an offensive weapon. The offences are alleged to have occurred on April 15, 1991. Roger Eugene Lightbourne, 25, of Somerset, was remanded in custody.

Steven Wilfred Pitt, 39, of Pembroke, pleaded not guilty to 25 currency offences. The offences, alleged to have occurred in 1991 and 1992, involve obtaining tax exemptions for purchases of about $36,000 in foreign currency, then not surrendering the funds when the promised trips abroad did not occur.

Pitt, who is unrepresented, is to appear in court again on May 3.

A May 31 trial date was set for a 50-year-old Sandys man charged with rape and incest.

Lawyer Mr. Archie Warner said the man, who is free on bail, may have to undergo heart surgery in the United States before that time. The offences are alleged to have occurred on February 15, 1992.

A July 6 trial date was set for Troy Anthony Commissiong, 31, of Devonshire.

He has pleaded not guilty to 18 foreign currency charges. His bail was extended.

A 61-year-old Pembroke man was remanded to May 31 for trial on charges of assault and indecent assault. His bail was extended.

A June 8 trial date was set for Leon S. Smith, 29, of Sandys. Charged with supplying a controlled drug, his bail was extended.

Kenneth Douglas, 37, of Pembroke, was ordered to stand trial on June 8 on charges of possession of a controlled drug and selling a controlled drug. His bail was extended.
