Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said Police encountered a group of individuals at the Southampton Rangers Club shortly after midnight on Wednesday.

The officers noticed that one of the men was only mumbling when Police spoke to him.

When the man was informed that he was going to be searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act he tried to run away.

After a violent struggle, the man spat out a plastic twist containing a white rock-like substance.

Mrs. James Barnett said the man was arrested and later released on bail.
