Chief Education Officer Joseph Christopher said the Ministry only knew of one head teacher who was planning to retire and therefore was looking "at this time'' to fill one post for September 1, next year.

And while refusing to name the principal and the school from which he or she is retiring, Dr. Christopher noted that the advertisement was standard.

The deadline for the post, which carries a minimum salary of $73,394 per year, is December 3.
