Police were called to Middle Road, at its junction with Frithcote Lane, at around 1.30 a.m. on Sunday following the smash between two motorbikes and two cars.

Both cars were believed to be travelling easterly along Middle Road and the bikes were heading west when one of the motorcycles collided head on with one of the cars, causing extensive damage to both vehicles.

The rider of the first bike suffered contusions to the head and cuts to his leg and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Enquiries are continuing and anyone with information should call Police on 295-0011.
